Politics and ME

So...i have never been very clear about politics and my political views but i vote. I vote each election and i usually flip flop back and forth between republican and democrat because i agree with both sides sometimes. In the last election i voted for Barack Obama. I never told anyone at my work. I work with extreme right-wing Catholics and to vote democrat would NOT be good for my reputation. But i voted for him because when he spoke, he explained what HIS goals were. I felt the republican candidate, John McCain, only complained about the current president and criticized Obama's plan. But my question was left unanswered, what was his plan, why didn't he say what he planned to do instead of only complaining about his opponent.

So, every since i voted Obama last election i get all these emails from him and his campaign people. I like getting them because i feel like i am getting little updates on what is going on. So this year is another election year and i am trying to decide who to vote for and so far ALL is see from the republicans this year again is trying to place BLAME and i am left wondering DO THESE PEOPLE HAVE A PLAN? OR JUST TOO MUCH MONEY? I sure wish they would put their political agendas out there so people like me could understand WHY should I vote for you?

On Mitt Romney's website...it lists "OBAMA'S FAILURES" before it lists "MITT'S PLAN". To me this means his plan is weaker than his ability to bad mouth others and turns me off to voting for him. I want a president with a clear strategy not just a long list of complaints.

Well...here is my finished card ~ :) I think it turned out really well ~ can't wait to get these so i can send them out!! Merry Christmas everyone!!

So ~ I am going to commit myself to blogging for 2011 ~ my new New Year's resolution!! Yay ~ how about a FUN resolution that i can actually do for once!! :)

I recently was invited to a ShutterFly House Party from HouseParty.com and loved it!! It was a cool concept and i learned some fun tips/tricks to making the really amazing Christmas cards like the "super moms" always send out ~ (note...i am not a super mom which is painfully obvious when you check the last time i updated my blog...or even printed pictures for that matter!!)

Paige's 1st Haircut ~*

Well ~ we finally got little Paige's hair cut ~ we went to Lollipops on 09/23 and she got her 1st trim. She did NOT want anyone messing with her hair!! But now her hair is out of her eyes and ready for 1 year pictures on Sunday.

Double Grandma Whammy ~

We have had visitors like crazy since we moved in and we are loving it!! Grandma Newlan and Great Grandma Barnes were in town for a few days last month ~ and we got SOOO much accomplished!! My Grandma Barnes is one of the hardest working people i have ever met and when she comes to town everyone benefits! Paige got a beautiful bracelet from Grandma Newlan and aunt Hannah sent her a patchwork lion and a book to go with it ~ we all enjoyed their visit and appreciate all they do for us!!

*Home Sweet Home*

Well...thanks to A LOT of help from our friends we are all moved into our new home! We want to say, "Thank You", to everyone that came over and helped us ~ we are lucky to have such great friends. Paige took her 1st swim on Saturday and she *LoVED* it ~ we are soo excited to watch her grow up in such a great neighborhood and we are very blessed.
